Customer Case Study
Network Cleanup Without an Unnecessary Overhaul
HardyIT helped a customer reduce excessive monthly internet costs, untangle a difficult communications room, and improve network reliability while staying within the customer’s real-world budget.
The Situation
The customer was paying approximately $5,000 each month for internet service without realizing that the business’s actual requirements could be served by an option closer to $500 per month.
Customer original call was because Internet/Network outages were affecting business operations every few hours. On some days closing early, missing out on potential revenue.
The communications room also contained excessive cable runs and difficult routing. The previous network work had been billed by cable length, and some roughly eight-foot paths used approximately 40 feet of cable. The resulting layout made the network harder to trace, maintain, and troubleshoot.
Josh stepped into a room that needed practical decisions not an expensive proposal that ignored the customer’s budget.
Before and After
The result was not a blank-check rebuild. It was a budget-conscious cleanup that made the room easier to work in, easier to understand, and more supportable.
The Outcome
HardyIT right-sized the internet service, cleaned up the cabling, and addressed network retransmission problems without forcing the customer into an unrealistic infrastructure upgrade.
The finished room was not intended to be a perfect showcase installation. It was a meaningful improvement designed around the customer’s priorities and available budget. The network became easier to support, and the customer gained direct access to real IT help.
Most importantly, the customer still saved money every month after the cost of the new HardyIT service agreement was included. Better support became part of the savings not another excessive expense.
